How to Buy Amazon Returns in the UAE

Searching for Amazon returns in the UAE turns up plenty of noise and very few straight answers. The short version is this: you cannot buy Amazon returns off a shelf in Dubai, because the stock does not originate here. It is cleared in bulk through liquidation channels in Europe and imported. Once you accept that, the rest of the process is straightforward.
This is a business purchase, not a consumer one
Amazon liquidation channels are closed to the public. Access is restricted to registered businesses that can provide trade and tax documentation, which is why you will not find pallets listed at retail on a UAE marketplace. If you are buying to resell, that restriction works in your favour. It keeps the competition to actual traders rather than bargain hunters.
What you need in place before you buy
A valid UAE trade licence covering trading or general trading activity.
Tax registration, meaning a TRN if your business is VAT registered.
A customs client code if you intend to import in your own name.
Somewhere to receive and sort the stock, whether that is your own warehouse or a partner facility.
Working capital that covers the lot, the freight, the duty and the clearance, not only the pallet price.
If any of those are missing, sort them first. Buying a container before you are able to clear it is an expensive way to learn what demurrage costs.
Where the stock actually comes from
The pallets originate in Amazon’s European liquidation channels: customer returns, open box inventory, overstock, shelf pulls and warehouse clearances. Stock is consolidated in Europe, sorted into broad categories and moved on as pallets or truckloads.
Which means there is no UAE warehouse to walk into. MK Trade holds no stock in the Emirates. Our Dubai office coordinates the buying, the freight and the export documentation, and lots ship from source to your market. Anyone offering you a local warehouse full of fresh Amazon returns is almost certainly selling stock that has already passed through several hands. Our guide to how to source Amazon liquidation pallets explains why that matters to your margin.
The buying process, step by step
Share your buying profile: the categories, grades, quantities, budget and destination market you work with.
Receive matching opportunities, with the manifest where the supplying channel provides one.
Run your own numbers against your market before you commit anything.
Confirm in writing, then pay against an invoice that states the lot, the terms and the totals.
Freight, export documentation and clearance are arranged, and the lot moves to you.
The full sequence is set out on how it works, and the categories currently supplied are on our stock page.
Working out your landed cost into the UAE
The pallet price is not what the stock costs you. As a UAE buyer, budget for all of the following before you decide whether a lot is worth having:
Freight from Europe, which for bulky categories such as appliances can be a meaningful share of the total.
Customs duty on arrival, which under the GCC common tariff is commonly 5 percent of the CIF value for general goods.
VAT at the current UAE rate, which has been 5 percent since 2018.
Clearance, port handling and last mile delivery to wherever you are storing the stock.
Your own sorting, testing and, in some categories, repair time.
Treatment varies by product classification and by whether you are importing into the mainland or into a free zone, and rates do change. Confirm the current figures with your clearing agent before committing capital. Our guide to how to profit from customer returns lots works through the full calculation, including a realistic recovery rate and a defect allowance.
Where UAE buyers resell it
Most buyers we work with use more than one channel. Physical outlets and markets in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman take the strongest units at the best per unit recovery. Online marketplaces suit branded, searchable goods. The remainder moves on in bulk to keep cash cycling.
Sharjah and Ajman in particular have a long established re-export trade into the wider Gulf, Africa and Asia, which is why several of our wholesale partners buy container volume rather than single pallets. If your market is outside the UAE, the stock does not need to route through Dubai at all.
Mistakes that cost UAE buyers money
Buying on manifest value instead of a realistic recovery rate for your own market.
Forgetting duty, VAT and clearance until the invoice arrives.
Expecting to inspect a lot physically before purchase, which is rarely possible in this market.
Buying from a reseller several steps down the chain, where the best units have already been removed.
Committing container volume on a first order before testing a single pallet.
Our buyer guide covers grading terminology, manifests, payment and freight in more detail if any of that is unfamiliar.
Buying Amazon returns through MK Trade
MK Trade is an Amazon liquidation supplier based in Dubai. We buy pallets and truckloads directly from Amazon’s European liquidation channels and supply them to registered businesses, which means the lot reaching you has not passed through three resellers first. That is the single biggest factor in whether what arrives matches the manifest.
The categories we supply are High-Value Electronics and Premium Home & Kitchen Appliances, in quantities from a single pallet up to container volume. Where the supplying channel provides a manifest, you receive it before you commit anything, with the condition mix stated, so you can run the landed cost calculation above against your own market first. Where no manifest exists, we tell you that up front rather than after payment.
Because we hold no stock in the Emirates, lots ship from source to your market with freight, export documentation and clearance coordinated by our Dubai office. There is no local double handling and no warehouse markup built into the price. If you are exporting rather than selling inside the UAE, the stock does not need to route through Dubai at all.
We will also tell you when a lot is wrong for your business. A supplier who says yes to every enquiry is not filtering anything on your behalf. More on the standards we hold ourselves to is on why MK Trade.
