Privacy policy
This policy explains what information MK Trade collects when you contact us or trade with us, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry we collect the details you give us: your name, company, business email address, destination market, the categories and budget range you are interested in, and anything you write in your message. If you go on to trade with us we also hold order, invoice, shipping and correspondence records.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to build the buying profile we match opportunities against, to process and fulfil orders, to arrange freight and export documentation, and to keep the records we are required to keep for accounting and tax purposes.
Legal basis
We rely on the performance of a contract for order and fulfilment data, our legitimate interest in operating a B2B trading business for enquiry handling and account management, and our legal obligations for accounting, tax and export records.
Sharing your information
We share only what is necessary: with freight forwarders and carriers to move your goods, with supplying channels where a lot must be allocated or a claim raised, and with our accountants, payment providers and professional advisers. We do not sell your information.
International transfers
Because we trade between the United States, Europe and buyers worldwide, your information may be transferred outside your own country in the course of arranging supply, shipping and clearance.
Retention
Enquiry records are kept for as long as an ongoing supply relationship is realistic, and are removed on request. Transaction records are kept for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and customs law.
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only what is needed to serve pages and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
