Can I buy a single pallet?

Can I choose specific brands or models?

02

Stock, condition and grading

What condition is the stock in?

Are manifests always available?

Does manifest value equal resale value?

What does carrier or lock status mean for mobile lots?

Can I inspect stock before buying?

03

Payment, logistics and export

What payment methods do you accept?

Do you ship worldwide?

Who arranges freight?

Are duties and import taxes included?

What happens if a lot does not match the manifest?

Key terms

The vocabulary of liquidation buying.

Terminology is not standardised across this market, and the same word can mean different things at different sources. This is how we use it.

Manifest

A document listing the products, quantities, retail values and, where available, the condition of everything in a lot.

Pallet

The standard unit of purchase in liquidation. A single pallet of mixed or category-specific stock.

Shelf pull

Stock removed from retail shelves for seasonal, packaging or range reasons rather than because of a fault.

Open-box

Items whose packaging has been opened but which are largely unused, often returned shortly after purchase.

Overstock

Surplus inventory that never sold through, usually still in original packaging.

Grade

A condition classification applied by the supplying channel. Grading systems differ between sources.

Mixed lot

A lot containing multiple categories or condition types rather than a single uniform product line.

Container load

A full container of consolidated pallets, typically the most freight-efficient way to buy at volume.
